The Golf Course

Bawburgh Golf Club was started in 1979 by Alan Barnard as a 9 Hole Course an was designed by Alan Barnard and Burt Kelly - former professional at Eaton Golf Club. In 1991 this was then developed into a 18 hole golf course par 70.

In May 2009 the course was again improved to a par 72 featuring 2 brand new holes with stunning views over the Yare valley.

Situated at our club house, we have two practice putting greens and practice net, there is also a small chipping area

The 6720 yard par 72 course is full of character and presents a variety of challenges to a golfer of all abilities, with its undulating landscape, trees and pond. The main feature is a large glacial swale which meanders its way down to the river Yare creating many interesting tee and green locations.

Stop at the half way house which has full toilet facilities and a water fountain for drinking.

The best hole is without doubt the very challenging par four 18th which is generally regarded as one of the finest in the in the county. At 460 yards it requires a long, accurate second shot to clear the pond in front of the elevated green

After playing your game enjoy a variety of refreshments in our fantastic club house, see The club house section for more information.
