Members of the Bawburgh
Golf Club which is based at Glen Lodge enjoy a range of golfing and social
events.
Golf activities are divided into five main categories: - Men’s, ladies,
mixed, veterans and juniors. Each section is responsible for organising
a number of golfing competitions throughout the year. Joining a section
is not compulsory but adds to the fun and is a good way to get to know other
golfers.
Elected members from all five categories join together with members of management
to form a general committee which meets on a regular basis to administer
competitions, handicaps and any other problems which may arise.
Members enjoy a regular programme of social events which provide entertainment
throughout the year, especially during the winter months. From barbecues
on the terrace in the summer to the very popular quiz nights in the winter.
Cabaret nights featuring local artists and the annual summer ball all add
to the fun had by the members. |
